Maya Soele® was invited to the HÅNDVÆRK festival at the locomotive workshop in Copenhagen on January 24-26, 2024.
It was the first of its kind, so we were very excited about what it entailed.
Poul Nyrup Rasmussen opened the festival as chairman of the board of EuroSkills
After that, one exciting post followed after another.
For the "Battle for Good Craftsmanship", 3 disciplines competed with Önder Yazar from Nybyggerne as judge.
All 3 of them were very talented, and Gry Astrup Hansen ran convincingly to victory and won the Maya Soele® Mureren.
We had many visitors at the stand - REALLY many!
Especially from young people who were apprenticed as craftsmen, and as I told all of them, the figures from Maya Soele® were made for them, so I wanted to hear their feedback.
I was completely touched by all the positive comments, and what I heard over and over again was: "I'd love to have that figure when I graduate."
You can't get better feedback than that!
It was a fantastic festival, and great to be part of celebrating the proud crafts.
