It's not every day that a letter arrives from the Kingdom of Denmark.
But unfortunately it did today.
Maya Soele® had applied for a design patent on all 10 designs with the Danish Patent and Trademark Office.
This is done by submitting images of the individual figure, and since we want to ensure our designs are as good as possible, 5 images of each figure from different angles were submitted.
The Danish Patent and Trademark Office reviews all documents and examines the market for similar figures before the design patent is granted.
We already knew that there were no similar figures on the market, which may surprise us. We need to pay tribute to our proud crafts and craftsmen more than we do today, and therefore we may be surprised that the selection is so small.
The patent was approved, and the official letter was sent by mail with stamps, logo, and description.
In addition to the design patent itself, we have also chosen to pay for the Danish Patent and Trademark Office to monitor the market for plagiarism of the figures.
In addition to design patents, there is also trademark protection for both the name and logo.
Then nothing can be more legally secured, and there is order in the famous pencil case.
